We're being reminded the Heritage Trail is currently closed between Glen Vine and Union Mills for maintenance works.

 

The path is barriered at either end of the closed section.

 

A number of people have reportedly ignored the barriers and carried on along the path before being turned back by highways workers. 

 

A spokesperson for the DOI said: "The closure is in place to ensure everyone's safety whilst work is underway."
