Green lane in Ballaugh to close for four months

The Ballacurn Road (aka Ballacobb track) in Ballaugh will be closed to motor vehicles from Ballacobb, Ballaugh to its junction with the B10 Sartfell Road from this Friday (November 17) until March 31. This the section of the road is an un-made track.

The lower part of the lane which is paved and gives access to the properties on the lane remains open.

The Department of Infrastructure say this is to protect the unmade section the road from  being eroded over the winter months.

The closure is one which happens every year and heralds the arrival of winter.
