All three Manxmen Jamie McCanney, Jed Etchells and Max Ingham have made it past the half way point in the FIM International Six Day Enduro (ISDE).

The lads, that are all representing Team GB, have all battled through the extreme heat (in the region of 39C) in San Juan, Argentina and are now embarking on day four of the six day competition.

Energy FM caught up with Max Ingham today (November 9) and he explained it has been far from plain sailing:

“Yesterday was the first day of the new loop, so we had three different stages. For me, I didn’t have a great day. I had a pretty big crash and hurt my wrist a little bit, but its not too bad.

“I’ll try again today, but I lost about a minute, so my result yesterday wasn’t so good.”

The Junior team has dropped out of the team standings with one of the team riders, Charlie Chater retiring due to dehydration in the heat. Which leaves Max and fellow team mate, Harry Edmondson fighting for individual positions.

The Men’s Trophy team of Jamie McCanney, Jed Etchells, Nathan Watson and Alex Snow are still holding onto 2nd place going into day four.

McCanney said it was a “difficult day” yesterday, and he “struggled early on” and “the tests were pretty tight”.

Although, he and Etchells are still inside the top 10 individually.
