Tue, 31 Oct 2023

Civil service workers on the Island will get a six percent pay rise.

Following negotiations with both Prospect and Unite the Union, the Public Services Commission (PSC) has agreed to implement the pay award for April 2023.

"The award will apply to the rates of pay for all PSC Civil Service, Manual and Craft employees and all other staff of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture except teaching and lecturing staff as well as staff employed under New Terms for New Starters and Promotions (NTNSP) and staff on analogous terms and conditions. It includes all pay ranges, points on the pay spine point, and the JESP pay ranges.

Employees who have ceased employment with the PSC prior to 27 October 2023 will not be entitled to receive any increase or arrears of pay from the pay award."

It will apply to the rates of pay for all civil service as well as Tynwald members.

MHKs basic pay will rise from £71,610 to £75, 906, while MLCs basic pay will rise from £67,603 to £71,659.
