Gas Explosion At Tynwald Mills Kitchen

Staff at Tynwald Mills have escaped injury after a gas explosion in a kitchen.

Fire Crews were called to the shopping complex just after 9.20am this morning.

The gas supply was isolated and damage to the building was described as 'minimal'.

The person who was working in the kitchen at the time of the explosion, has been treated for shock.

Isle of Man Energy (Manx Gas) attended and an investigation is now underway as to the cause of the incident.
