Rider arrested on Mountain Road for driving against one-way system

Police have arrested a visiting rider who did a u-turn on Mountain Road and began riding in the opposite direction to the one way system at Hailwoods Rise.

The rider who is Dutch was stopped by police towards the Bungalow this afternoon.

The Roads Policing Unit said motorists had to take avoiding action and the road was immediately closed during the incident.

The Mountain Road is one way between Ramsey and the Creg ny Baa.
